概要	Heatshock protein90 (HSP90), a molecularchaperone, hasprovoked great interestas apromising moleculartargetfor cancertreatment, due to its involvement in regulating theconformation, stability andfunctionsofkey oncogenic proteins. At present, a variety ofchemicalcompounds targeting HSP 90 have been developed and have shown convincinganti-neoplastic activity in variouspreclinicaltumor models. The aim ofourstudy was toevaluate theantitumor effectsofanovelHSP90 inhibitor, NVP-AUY922, in esophage alsquamous cancercells(ESCC). FourESCC celllines(TE-l, TE-4, TE-8,TE-10) wereexamined. NVP-AUY922 potently inhibited theproliferation of ESCC, particularly inPTEN-nullTE-4 cellswith a2-3times lower IC50 than theotherthreecelllines.
