概要	Translation was conducted according to current recommendations. This study investigated the factor structure of the Japanese version of IIRS in 59 outpatients with cancer chemotherapy. Results Confirmatory factor analyses indicated a not good fit between the previously hypothesized three-factor model (“relationships and personal development”, “intimacy”, and “instrumental” life domains) of the original English version and the Japanese translation. Confirmatory analyses extracted an identical factor structure. Exploratory Principal Component Analysis identified a two-factor structure, "Relationships” and” Live daily life". (GFI=.87, CFI=.99, RMSEA=.027) However, a goodness-of-the fit test failed to support two-factor solution. Two factors had high internal consistency (Relationships, Cronbach's alpha=.92; Live daily life, Cronbach's alpha=.92) Internal consistency was very good (Cronbach's α=.93) for the total score, and, although somewhat lower than ideal, it was still in the acceptable range for the subscales (.52–.77).
