Summary We aimed to identify factors that promote Kaigo-Fukushishi job retention. Our study consisted of two parts. First, we surveyed how Kaigo-Fukushishi employment duration, job satisfaction and job retention relate to one another. We supposed that Kaigo-Fukushishi job retention is directly linked to years of service and job satisfaction. Second, we explored and reported on positive factors related to Kaigo-Fukushishi job retention by focusing on subjects with longer careers (five years); asking them about training, work and private life episodes that positively affected job satisfaction. We believed that these positive episodes were the primary factors promoting job retention.
