概要 Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst prognostic cancers and is highly metastatic and progressive. To conquer this malignant tumor, we utilized the cell dynamics assay device established previously to perform screening to find novel compounds regulating the migration of human pancreatic BxPC-3 cells. One of the hit compounds, Compound 14-100, showed the anti-tumor effect in vivo such as inhibiting metastasis based on the observation of fluorescent labeled tumor implants through the skin. Unexpectedly, the compound showed the inhibitory effect on the tumor proliferation despite with less cytotoxicity. Single cell RNA-seq revealed the change of gene expressions with regard to metastasis, angiogenesis, inflammation, and epithelial mesenchymal transition. These data suggest that compound 14-100 is effective to treat pancreatic cancer, which embodies "Cell-based Drug Discovery" especially focusing on cell dynamics.
