Summary | Our study (1) has focused on relations of a high school student’s actions such as joining an open campus, types of admission exam, and academic records after they enter an institute. As a result, the more attendances to an open campus a high school student has, the more passionate he is to enter the institute and take and AO (Admission Office) exam or recommendation entry exam. However, students who take a general exam or exam with scores of National Center Test for University Admissions tend to have fewer attendances to an open campus and enter the institute without a strong passion. The influences are limited even if the academic records of AO students are lower than other types of exam, while all university students without regard to any type of exam have commonly semesters to decrease their scores. Recently, student’s change of course or academic records often become a reason of academic leaves of absence and withdrawal in academic intuitions. The purpose of this study is to sum up a tendency of what counseling supports academic institutions give students to prevent academic leaves of absence and withdrawal as a part of student support system from a viewpoint of enrollment management. Furthermore, we discuss efforts through our study (1). |
