Summary The purpose of this study is to consider approaches to improve teaching technique/skills of university students who are in teacher training program. Especially, we are concerned about their viewpoints in observations of their simulated lessons. An analysis of students’ feedback using ICT devices, such as PF-NOTE and Moodle, was performed to clarify what students emphasize on through observations for their simulated lessons. Data were gathered from 40 students in two ways: (1) Spontaneous feedback (responses) on PF-NOTE and (2) selective and descriptive feedback on Moodle. It was found from the result that many students should have a point of view whether materials, activities, and procedures are to achieve goals of lessons and even the course of study. They also need to pay attention not only to teacher’s behaviors but also subject teaching, particularly English language teaching. In addition, students have to improve their English skills for teaching English: Classroom English, English proficiency for English language class, and strategies to prompt children’s understanding in English.
